With the support of financial donations, in-kind contributions, and volunteer efforts, we are able to provide high-quality care while keeping costs low for our patients.

Our hospital is staffed by skilled medical professionals, most of whom are Guatemalan nationals. We believe in empowering our local community by providing jobs and training to individuals who are passionate about serving others. In addition, visiting doctors from Guatemala City and abroad help us expand our capacity by offering specialized care to those in need.

We recognize that healing involves more than just treating illness. That’s why we offer emotional and spiritual support through our outreach programs, village clinics, a prosthetics clinic and the Champions Club for special needs children. We work to restore not just health but also hope, creating a sense of peace and belonging for each person who walks through our doors.

Our partnerships with Christian organizations such as Samaritan’s Purse, LifEnabled and Way of Hope allow us to provide additional services, such as prosthetics and mobility aids, that transform lives. These collaborations help us to fulfill our mission of bringing God’s love to the people of Petén.

Hospital Shalom is a ministry of New Covenant World Missions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every donation and resource is used with the utmost care to support our mission. We are dedicated to financial responsibility, ensuring that the contributions of our supporters directly benefit the people we serve.
